Farewell
This is going to be the last post for this blog. We have a new blog… still on the works but there’s a couple of post already up. We would like to leave a small piece of legacy to everyone, thus we are not going to delete this blog. It has been a very, very, very fruitful year for Sanada and its members and we could not ask for more. Starting from one of the greatest battles at Penghu SIM to one of the biggest battle ever witnessed in C:SI that happened in 3 different SIMs and included 60 warriors. Plus the numerous “fun” tournaments that Sanada has hosted and joined in… our memories are rich with these and forever are we greatful to everyone who has been part of our lives for the past year.
The Phoenix needs to rest. And rest he shall do. From the ashes he will rise again. Thank you everyone and from our home to yours…. A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! ^^

Last Samurai Family Christmas Party
It was great, it was fun, it was beyond words.
Hours before the party, Gitane chan ジタンちゃん❤ was drinking beer (lol) while preparing herself to host. It all went really well! She was so poised as she hosted the event
Phoenix chan ふぇにっくす❤ played a fantastic set of music as well. Everyone seemed to enjoy dancing to the music. Cool dance animations too.
Some NBN folks were there as well as some friends in the C:SI community. It was great meeting of friends.
I wrote this post also to take the opportunity to greet you all a Merry Christmas.
This post about the Last Samurai Christmas Party should probably appear in another blog. Then again, a blog by any other name … is like a family by any other name, but will always be that … my family.
Be happy, be safe, you all. Huggggiiiiieeeesss!!! (hahahahah!) – Marika
Oh, by the way, this post appears in our brand new blog called Last Samurai. http://lastsamuraiclan.wordpress.com/2010/12/24/last-samurai-family-christmas-party/Cheerio!
Sunset and Sunrise
We said goodbye to the Sanada chaya today. We toasted to the hosts. Many people dropped by. I myself just happened to be there and I am so very glad I was.
The chaya was a place where anyone could come chat and share stories and relax. Thank you so much to all the hosts who made all of us feel so comfortable. The chaya is one more place to fill memories of good times! ^^
And now we look to new paths. We look to the rising sun in the east and a new day.
Remnants and reminders of a special clan and of the rich history of a real Samurai clan in Japan are in that place now. I bow respectfully to the ancestors.
And I look now and see an ever changing landscape. Many people are coming to see the birth of a new place. We have had many visitors. Some are excellent builders themselves. They come to see what Phoenix san is building. It is all still growing and changing (and we all know it will change from time to time anyway!). It is not finished yet. But come see the changes day by day.
I am very happy to see that the temple and shrines are there. They may change too. Change is constant in both lives. Things that don’t change die. Life is a constant sunset and sunrise. ^^ Jiryn
Sayonara Sanada
On December 19, 2010, Sanada Clan will already cease to exist. For the past year and so my Second Life has been an enriching experience, thanks to the members of Sanada. Sanada Clan had its fair share of ups and downs, tears and laughter, drama and action. These experiences will truly never be forgotten.
Sanada clan would wish to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the numerous members of C:SI who had been there with us, sharing in our triumphs and helping us in our hardships. To the brave men and women who have never forgotten how fun should be amidst battles, we owe our wonderful memories to you.
To the C:SI developers who had created these awesome weapons for us to play with… thank you as well. Ayame Musashi’s “out of this world” specials, Archanox Underthorn’s precision and balance in the katanas he had created, the ‘Kick Ass” hits of Robbyracoon Olmstead’s weapons and Esprite Xavier’s Awesome Ashes weapons.
This may probably be Sanada Clan’s Last Bow of Respect to all of you wonderful people who has truly made our C:SI experience, the best! To all the C:SI members who had been our brothers and sisters in arms and most specially during FUN times, we bow with the utmost respect. It has been an amazingly good fight!!!
As the saying goes, when a door closes, another one opens. With the New Year coming soon… everyone is hoping for New Beginnings too. However I am too tired and would like to rest and close my eyes for a bit now and dream of the C:SI Wonderland events that have transpired over the past year or so. And when I open my eyes, I wish to find myself finally HOME with my FAMILY.
Sayonara Sanada Clan!

Sanada Underwater
Amidst the physical preparations for the incoming Christmas holiday all over the grid, the Sanada ground spar area recently underwent some kind of apocalyptic change when the SIM was suddenly filled with water.
It has been that way for the past few days. It is like walking through a different dimension. It’s like suddenly feeling like a fish habitating the abyss of the Atlantic Ocean.
Above water, you may be lucky to find a fisherman leisurely pulling out some peanut butter fish from the sea…
or a giant robot beside what appears to be a stage.
It may seem fascinating, having the waters engulf the Sanada SIM as if we are being given a glimpse of what may happen in SL apocalypse. Honestly, I was fascinated too. ^^ あははは(*´д`*)
But … snow … and underwater scene … feel a little too cold … too cold for Christmas … brrrrrrrrrr ….
- Marika (currently nursing a bad case of colds from being submerged too long in water
)
P.S. Christmas is just around the corner … take a hint ^^
Is It Ai (愛)? Koi (恋)? Rabu Rabu ラブラブ? Japanese Love, In The Eyes Of A Ganjin
It is, certainly, not a very C:SI ans Sanada-related topic at first glance. But I love to study and understand words and their nuances. For now I take on a word that is very universal, it invades even the most unlikely realms. Yes, even the C:SI samurai world.
[Besides, Christmas is just around the corner. And Sanada could use a lot of love lately.
)
あははは(*´д`*)
I am not Japanese, so it has always intrigued me how love is exactly expressed among the Japanese. Time and again I would be told that the Japanese are generally not expressive, preferring their actions to do the talking for them.
Then again, I would find out that there are also words in Japanese to express various shades of love, much like in any language. For instance, there is AI (愛), which is said to be a profound love. There is KOI (恋), also meant to say love but it is more like a wanting. Then there is RABU RABU ラブラブ, said to be a term for extreme love among the young.
So, when you want to say that you love your katana, what Japanese love term do you use? Would it mean differently when you say that you are IN love with your katana?
Why not show you photos and tell me if it is AI, KOI, or RABU RABU.^^
Whatever, however. Does it matter much? So it has been said time and again: 恋は思案のほか。. Koi wa shian no hoka.
Love knows no reason.
See you in-world.
Huggiesssss! (lol), Marika
