Annual Cherry Blossom Viewing Party

This was supposed to have been posted days ago… but uhmmm… I have this “secret project” for Sanada… yes “secret project” lest anyone hears of it and copies and again!!!  (rolls my eyes upward) :P So there has been slight delays… and ohhhh…. I heard its way warmer in the other side of the globe and seems like C:SI is a ghost town! I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine in RL!! Woo!!!

After the battles left and right, Sanada held an annual cherry blossom viewing party to relax, prepared by none other the shy but awesome Makoto san! Yay! Also, Phoenix had built a very beautiful cherry blossom garden on the sim and this was where the party was held. Here are some photos! :)

Samurai Warrior vs. Bandits

Last April 9, 2010, Sanada Go had an interclan game called Samurai Warrior vs. Bandits. Up for grabs was 10K lindens if the bandits would be able to destroy all 5 treasure boxes. The event was attended by several of Sanada’s friends including the NBN and some CSI players who wanted a chance to win a portion of the prize money.

Who is RUKA Mint?

Good day people! This is a fun post! :D I have been very vocal about how much I like RUKA Mint, not only here but also in-world. She is one of the most positive persons I have ever met on SL. I have never seen her upset and/or upsetting any member of the clan. Well in Sanada… it would be rare to find people creating drama… everyone is just trying to be best at what they do and  having fun!

RUKA’s role in the recent Sengo battle was a big one, she has supplied most of the recon pictures for the fighters, fought the Tokugawa guards and and succeeded.

Here’s an excerpt of a conversation with Sanada’s Sexy Kunoichi… RUKA Mint!

RUKA Mint: くのいちの事を感じる?
[2:14]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Kunoichi feel things?
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: I worked hard for the scary Sanada
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: うんっ(→‿←)
[2:16]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Yeah’ll (← ‿ →)
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: Yeah’ll (← ‿ →)
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay: oh did you die while spying?
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay: スパイがオハイオ州あなたは死ぬのですか?
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: 真田の為なら
[2:16]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Sanada for you
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: If for Sanada
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: 問題ないです
[2:16]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): It is no problem
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: It is no problem
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: うんっ(→‿←)

Ruka getting ready for Recon

[2:16]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Be mischievous
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: The mischief
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: ドモクンに
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay giggles
[2:16]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): To Domokun
[2:16]  RUKA Mint: On Domokun
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay: /私はくすくす笑う
[2:16]  RUKA Mint laughs
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay: OK! (・∀・)
[2:16]  Gabrielle Islay: [OK]を!(·∀·)
2:17]  Gabrielle Islay: you tell?
[2:17]  Gabrielle Islay: あなたが教えてください。
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: 寝ながら動いてる
[2:17]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Sleeping while on the move
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: Sleeping while on the move
[2:17]  Gabrielle Islay: or secret?
[2:17]  Gabrielle Islay: または秘密は?
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: うん(→‿←)
[2:17]  RUKA Mint (from japanese): Yeah (← ‿ →)
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: Yeah (← ‿ →)
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: 秘密
[2:17]  Gabrielle Islay: yes
[2:17]  RUKA Mint: Secret

One of the Tokugawa Guards killed after going after Ruka! :P

2:18]  Gabrielle Islay: feel good kill kobe?
[2:18]  Gabrielle Islay: 良い殺す神戸を感じますか?
[2:18]  Gabrielle Islay giggles
[2:18]  Gabrielle Islay: /私はくすくす笑う

[2:18]  RUKA Mint laughs
[2:18]  RUKA Mint: うん(→‿←)
[2:18]  RUKA Mint: Yeah (← ‿ →)

Seems like the super sexy kunoichi does not want her cover blown. :P Ruka went to recon when the rest of the guards are not on so we got to get the pictures we needed! ^^ I know to most of you, this transcript does not make sense…lol. But here’s what RUKA means… she would do anything for Sanada. It does not matter if she dies. Ruka also admits that she is mischievous and prefers to do recon work while Tokugawa Leader Domokun is sleeping :P   This is only one of the screenshots of the guards RUKA has killed ! :D

Cheers for Good Work RUKA!!!!

SENGO Strategy– The Impenetrable Tower Dummy… well almost!

Tower Dummy Location

1st Unit Special Force (6) – Captain Iesada Renfort & Saeba Viper
Fighters : Iesada Renfort, Saeba Viper, Ocean Neuman, Kachine Twine, Christophe Watkins, Shimon Kirax, Sasuke Selona

It was the 3rd of April, 6 am SLT. Almost everyone was at the meeting place… except the Japanese ninjas. I was starting to get antsy. Phoenix comes online, a tp was offered to him to the meeting place, a few Japanese came online, we offered the tp as well. They were asking why everyone was there and they were asking… “Isn’t the big battle tomorrow?” Yep! They got all the dates wrong. No time to point fingers… we have to make do with whoever is around. Sasuke was not even on the original roster of fighters. :)

Any of the participants notice these ninjas? No? Their route was different… they didn’t use the the trick wall, the Jinjo Route or the gate. LOL no tp either. I found out tp was disabled after the battle. So the “You TPd!!!” issue was an issue of personal frustration for losing rather than being a valid complaint. Shame on you Honorable Samurais! :P Not even Kafka san knew about any of this route prior to the battle. Sanada Ninjas are true masters of stealth! :D

My favorite Japanese Sanada member--- Ruka Mint. Doing what she does best when not killing with her BD's-- sitting on avatar's heads... in this case... on the dummy's head. :D

The Castle Route

We knew the floors were phantom! Passing this route was not the strongest option! A day before the battle, Ruka Mint, Ocean  and I were doing recon work. We tried this route. I fell off the floors. We fought Masmako San when she attacked. It was fun! :D Sorry to the  honorable samurais who waited in these floors. It was the  Sanada Ninjas who were assigned to this job. And you know how ninjas are. .. they do not live by Bushido … the Sanada Ninjas live by Sanada Masayuki’s Code. :Pmaster strategist!

Phantom Floors going to the tower dummy

These pics show our plan B if plan A doesn't work. Glad it did!

But if we used this route… you know what? We would have not used a lot of slashes on the guards. We could’ve just kicked like hell and make them fall off their own traps. :P

THE NINJA STRATEGY

The Sanada Ninjas were the first wave that entered. The plan was… how did Phoenix call it? “Disturb the Enemy” rather than fight. Well judging from the reaction of people, it was more like… “annoy the enemy” :P

They went around... erm... they had to pass by Asuka for just a teensy wee bit. ;)

Then down to the underground tunnel

Run Sasuke Run! :P

The plan was to dash inside this rock!

Dashing through walls you would end up here

....then here. One of the walls was phantom and quite easy to enter.

Non phantom floors! Sigh of Relief!

From here all windows are also guarded with invisible prims. So it was impossible to go to the dummy because you would end up on those phantom floors again! Unless…. the ledges! Yep! Sasuke and the ninjas sat on ledges 2-3 times to get to the tower dummy!

Sasuke and Kachine on the roof! Finally! Yay! To the tower dummy!!!!

Oh and being strategist isn’t only the ninjas are good at… they’re good fighters too. Sasuke killed the dummy guard. A shame no one came to help her…. after all those whining about not being able to fight… why didn’t they just help her? Saaaad face! :(

Good Fight! :D bows respectfully and uhm stuff. Kidding aside... good fight innocent! :D

We are basking… we are basking in victory… Thank you! :P

To all alliance members… this is our victory! More than anything else (strategy, bushido, being strong fighters  etc.) The win would have never happened if it were not for the AMAZING TEAMWORK! Sanada thanks the SENGO alliance for this!

Ok I’m done gloating. Maybe… ;) :P

Next Post: Who is RUKA Mint?

SENGO Strategy– The Basement Dummy

Intelligence has supplied us with information that the Kamikura Jidai Dummies would be very hard to get to. Narrow passageways that only one person can get enter, a group could not enter it, you have to do it one by one. It was not easy… it wasn’t easy going down a hole :(

Entering Kamikura Jidai  felt like passing a thread through a needlehole— a very small one.

Kamikura Jidai Gate and its Invisible Walls

Invisible Walls all over

….and over

and over…. you have got to be kidding me!

THE STRATEGY

There is no way 30 people  –(less the casualties) could get through that small gate.

The Jinjo Alternative ;)

The Trick Wall! :D

Of course you can go through the main gate too which some did. ;) But it wasn’t exciting as these alternate routes, if you ask me :)

Sengo Strategy– Tokugawa Dummy

This was a tough one. Phantom Floors, the maze…. there was only one way in and it seemed like there was no way out. Anyone who would get to the dummy would not get out alive— To the Death!

The Sengokumusou Strategy–The Traps

As promised…. the Sengo Strategy!!! Ta daaaaaaa!!!! Woo! :D Before we get to that… a little historical background… :D

Sanada Masayuki (1544 (1547?) – July 13, 1611) was a Japanese Sengoku period daimyo. He was the third son of Sanada Yukitaka, a vassal daimyo to the Takeda family in Shinano province. He is known as a master strategist. Sanada Nobuyuki and Sanada Yukimura were his sons. In 1585, the Sanada clan stood opposed to Tokugawa Ieyasu. With 7,000 men, the Tokugawa forces lay siege to Ueda Castle, which was defended by only 2,000 soldiers. However, Masayuki was able to inflict 3,000 casualties on Tokugawa and won an overwhelming victory. This was the First Battle of Ueda Castle, a victory that earned Masayuki national prominence.

For those of you who do not know…Phoenix777 Aichi, Sanada Clan’s Daimyo is from the same town where the Sanada Clan/Family resides in RL. If there was anyone who was the most excited about this game… it was him.  And true to Sanada Masayuki’s legacy… Phoenix was the principal planner  of the Sengokumusuo Strategy. And trust me folks… it was not easy even with the help of the translator. :P The over-all strategy was a collective effort of everyone in the alliance of course… oh! but please… please… let me gloat just this once.  It was raining on our parade that day we won the battle… and I am trying to enjoy our victory now. Woo!

The Sengo Strategy

The following photos are only a few of the recon materials collected over the course of time during the Sengo vs Toku War Game. No picture was taken and / edited after the battle.

A Thank You To Tokugawa Alliance

Amidst the chaos, confusion, rumors, hearsay and distrust the Sengokumusou Alliance, and the whole Sanada clan would like to thank sim owner and Tokugawa Alliance Leader Domokun Giotto for allowing us to play in his SIM. To Tora clan who was the first clan ever to agree on this type of game play… thank  you as well.  We have enjoyed ourselves immensely since the very beginning (Emei Pai SIM war) till the very end.

It is our most fervent wish that we set aside all these hate to give in to something more wonderful for a better C:SI.  It was not easy for us, some members of the alliance have put their heart into this, timing  recon missions appropriately and sending out notices and photos became second nature.

We all hope you see this through our eyes. This is not something to be upset about. It is a game. If the tables were turned and you won I assure you, Kafka san in all her buglike glory and Phoenix san with his cute but silly japanese gestures would have congratulated you on a job well done.

Please do not blame us for doing all we could… if we went into this game half heartedly and did not pay attention to the most minute detail… we would have regretted it.  This is a game of not only the best fighters but also of the smartest ones. It took the best fighters to kill, and the wittiest to infiltrate the rooms where the dummies are. The same way you had one of your smartest members  build that maze on the Tokugawa Castle or place those invisible walls at the castle gate.

We refuse to these claims of being cunning and devious… this is down right negative to the very core. If you only knew… moments before the war.. Kafka tried so hard to make it clear to each member of the Sengo Alliance to put out any NEGATIVITY to this war.  Yes in bold capital letters and on shout: ALL OF YOU!! DO NOT PUT ANY NEGATIVITY TO THIS WAR! :P

Kafka did not deserve to be called a bitch in world and on shout. The same way you don’t deserve to be  called  assholes for trying to buy out people to join you. This is all part of the game and we welcomed it. No problem whatsoever. It is part of the fun! :D

This was a 30 vs. 30 war. Lag was imminent. We expected it. Matrix like movements… but as far as I am concerned… no one from the Sengo Alliance blatantly blamed or whined about lag so it is quite unfair to blame a single avatar Sasuke for lagging fighters. This is not true. A kappa avatar is made up of low prims. I know because I have a kappa avatar too. With the sword, you would be hitting less than 2000 or a little over it.  Besides.. no ARC limit was set. Unless he was using the Blood Drinkers then that would have explained it, but there were no rules against BD’s either.

And unlike most, we do not make alts to hide… we make alts for fun. Sort of like dressing up a new doll. Sasuke is a kappa, a japanese folk tale character. Sasuke is also Phoenix so there is no need to make a big deal out this. If you knew him, Sasuke would have gone up to you and told you that he is Phoenix and play that silly sounding kappa laugh. So you see…. there is nothing cunning and devious in playing and pretending. Yes, Sanada clan sees this as play.

I wish everyone sees this through our eyes and just enjoy Second Life. This is not real. It is a game. We do not whine about lag, we do not whine about swords, and we do not whine about loosing. Rediscover that child in you and enjoy your second life. :D

Once again… thank you sooooooooo much for this wonderful, once in a second lifetime experience.  In behalf of Phoenix who at the moment is playing zyngo… lol… we wish to thank again the Tokugawa Alliance leaders for playing with us.

Sanada Yukimura rules!!! WOO! :D

Battle of the Giants

On April 3, 2010, at 6:30 am SLT the biggest war on CSI transpired. Two warring clan alliances, Tokugawa and Sengokumosuo decided to end it and declare who was after all right on this confusion about the stupid SL translator. :D The Tokugawa alliance (Twilight, Yakuza, Tora, Kyokujitsu, Ashikaga, Ronins) prepared well and the Kamakura Jidai & Tokugawa SIMS were filled with traps.  The Sengo Alliance’s Recon team did their best to infiltrate the Toku Alliance’s fortress. With the help of the mysterious and elusive Sanada Kunoichi Ruka Mint, NBN, and several alliance fighters, the Sengo alliance were able to locate the dummies, their main objective is to destroy these dummies so once and for all  the Toku alliance would agree that it was the translator’s fault why this war started.

Battle for the Basement Dummy

In the end, all three dummies were destroyed. Thanks to Volk Xue of Shadow for destroying the basement dummy, Glucosamine Bailey of Sessou for the Tokugawa Dummy and Sasuke “sat on a prim” Selona of Sanada Kappas for outsmarting the tower dummy guards and destroying it.

More posts to come on the Sengo alliances game plan, strategy and pre -war preparations.

Congratulations to all! ^^
